Chip sales continue ascent

Global semiconductor industry sales totaled 149.9 billion dollars during the second quarter of 2024, an increase of 18.3 percent compared to the second quarter of 2023 and 6.5 percent more than the first quarter of 2024. Sales in June 2024 were 50.0 billion dollars, an increase of 1.7 percent compared to the May total. Monthly sales, presented as a three-month moving average, are compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization and published by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).
