Fonontech has been selected for Intel Ignite’s accelerator program for early-stage deep-tech startups. The program offers hands-on mentorship, technical support, business acumen and access to investors. So far, 148 companies have participated across the world. Eindhoven-based Fonontech is part of the 6th cohort in Europe and will start the 12-week program together with nine other startups from seven countries.

Fonontech was founded in 2022 as a spinoff of TNO at Holst Centre in Eindhoven to bring impulse printing to the market. Like lithography, this new technique can transfer fine-grained patterns in the micro to millimeter range, but its price tag and throughput are similar to conventional printing methods. Moreover, impulse printing can handle complex 3D structures on the substrate just fine – the paste conforms to surface topology and can even bridge gaps. Applications include electronics assembly and display fabrication.
