The Amsterdam-based public lighting and smart city experts of Lightwell are teaming up with the city of Rotterdam to reimagine space use in urban areas. Sharing the ambition for more connected and eco-friendly cities, the duo pulled back the curtain on their collaborative project known as CENT-R (City/Connected Energy Network Tool Rotterdam) – a street-side, ‘smart’ lamppost with an eye toward emerging technologies.

For example, environmental sensors, telecom antennas and 5G cells, EV charging outlets, as well as parking pay stations.
