Photonics sensing scale-up Photonfirst has appointed Nick Singh as CTO. The successor of founder and CTO Pim Kat, who retired last year, was born in Fiji, educated in France and has accumulated international experience in high-tech markets such as semiconductors, photonics, flexible electronics and analytical instrumentation. His last post was at LAT Water, a British company focusing on low-energy technology for waste water treatment and desalination.

“We’re proud and grateful to have found an excellent candidate to follow in the footsteps of our founder Pim Kat per 1 February. Nick brings not only important experience in photonics but also in successfully building commercial traction for innovative technology. Next to this, he’s also a great addition to our diverse team with his open, social and collaborative spirit,” comments Photonfirst CEO Daan Kersten.
