Q3 semi sales up 23 percent YoY

Global semiconductor sales were 166.0 billion dollars for the third quarter of 2024, an increase of 23.2 percent compared to the third quarter of 2023 and 10.7 percent more than the second quarter of this year. Global sales were 55.3 billion dollars during September 2024, an increase of 4.1 percent compared to the August 2024 total of 53.1 billion dollars. The sales data, presented as a three-month moving average, are compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization and published by the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).
