The four Dutch technical universities have started five new joint programs, appointing 44 tenure trackers and 29 postdocs to engineer a sustainable future. They’ve set their sights on resilience engineering (adaptability of systems), precision medicine (combining AI and imaging), soft robotics (gently moving robots), disease prevention (real-life monitoring and intervention) and botanic sensor networks. All five multidisciplinary research proposals are designed to align with the Top Sector policy, the Dutch Research Agenda (NWA) and the UN Sustainable Development goals.
