The Dutch government confirmed that the important 5G band at 3.5 GHz will be auctioned off in late 2021 or early 2022, instead of 2026 as originally planned. Apparently, a solution has been found for the satellite listening station, which prevented 5G usage of the 3.5 GHz band in the north of the country. Last year, the cabinet decided (link in Dutch) the station would have to move, but a new location has not yet been finalized. The government will provide further details later this year or early next year, before starting the auction of the 700, 1400 and 2100 MHz bands.
