In the first quarter, Barco’s sales amounted to 242.8 million euros, an increase of 8.4 percent compared to Q1 2018. All divisions contributed to the growth. The Kortrijk-based imaging specialist booked 269.0 euros of incoming orders, a 10.0 percent year-over-year increase. Its order book as of end-March stood at 341.0 million euros, up 12.4 percent compared to the first quarter of last year.

“I’m pleased to see that the progress we’re making translates into healthy first quarter top line results. After working on portfolio choices and turnarounds over the past two years and redeploying resources towards new product offerings and commercial capabilities, we are re-establishing growth and continuing our drive to become a sustainable profitable growth company,” says Barco CEO Jan De Witte. “We now expect to deliver mid to high single-digit sales growth for the year assuming currencies and the global economic environment remain stable.”
