Dongfang Jingyuan Electron has denied accusations that it’s infringing upon ASML’s intellectual property. “We’ve noted the recent emergence of a large number of internet reports related to our company, which are inconsistent with the facts,” the Global Times quotes from a company statement. “Since its founding in 2014, the company has been in compliance with Chinese laws and regulations, adhering to the principle of independent research and development and innovation, and respecting and protecting IP rights,” the Chinese state-owned newspaper continues.

ASML expressed concern about Dongfang Jingyuan in its 2021 annual report, released last Wednesday. “In response, we reached out to certain customers urging them not to aide or abet this company, in any such potential infringement. Furthermore, we shared our concerns with the Chinese authorities. ASML is monitoring the situation closely and is ready to take legal action if appropriate,” the report states.
