Semiconductor lead times were down four days on average in September, according to media reports quoting market research by Susquehanna. The 26.3-week wait times on average are still roughly twice what would be considered normal, but a significant contraction hasn’t been seen in over two years. “September represents the first real signs of lead time capitulation in our data,” Susquehanna analysts wrote. For some product categories, including microcontroller and automotive units, lead times can still exceed a year.
