FME director Karsten Klein and Eindhoven University of Technology’s rector magnificus Frank Baaijens have signed a collaborative agreement to make knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence more accessible for smaller companies. The collaboration is between the FME platform ‘AI for Industry’ and TUE’s newly formed EAISI institute. It will focus on the technical and application-oriented aspects of AI within industry.

Karsten Klein: “We want to collaborate on creative ways to make AI research accessible to a broader target group. Especially for SMEs, we want to lower the threshold for working with a university institute on AI research. We’ll explore various options, eg sharing costs for a PhD or PDEng student.”
