Observing that the IC market has never registered a decline of more than three quarters in a row, IC Insights expects that semiconductor sales will start to rebound in the second quarter of next year. Following a 9 percent drop in the Q3 2022 market, and assuming Q4 2022 and Q1 2023 will register a decline as well, the 3Q22-1Q23 time period would mark the seventh three-quarter IC market drop on record. The last three-quarter decline was from Q4 2018 to Q2 2019.
