Gerard Kleisterlee is going to step down from ASML’s supervisory board next year. The former Philips CEO joined the board in 2015 and has been serving as chair since 2016. The Dane Nils Anderson has been put forward as his successor. Anderson was CEO of brewing company Carlsberg from 2001-2007 and shipping company Mærsk from 2007-2016. Currently, he’s chairman of the supervisory board at Akzo Nobel. Also stepping down is Rolf-Dieter Schwalb. His replacement will be Jack de Kreij, who’s on the boards of Tomtom and Wolters Kluwer, among others. ASML’s shareholders will be asked to approve the appointments on 26 April 2023 at the Annual General Meeting.
