The global semiconductor market will contract 12 percent this year, says Semiconductor Intelligence. This assumes a recovery will start in Q2 and pick up pace in the remainder of the year. The market started to decline in the second half of 2022, dropping 10 percent in H2 compared to H1. Most companies have communicated that they’ll be off to a weak start of the year – weaker than normal, that is. Semiconductor Intelligence puts 2024 semiconductor market growth in the 5-10 percent range.
