Neways has completed the acquisition of the activities of Sencio. The Nijmegen-based chip packaging specialist went bankrupt at the beginning of December after its biggest customer, Hella, pulled the plug on their long-standing relationship. The company will continue operations as Neways Advanced Microsystems out of its current facilities on the Noviotech Campus, where it produces its technology in highly specialized cleanrooms.

Through the acquisition of Sencio, we further strengthen our market position in microelectronics and are able to offer a broader suite of integrated services to both our and their customers,” comments Neways CEO Hans Büthker.
