Delft’s OrangeQS launches turn-key quantum testing solution
Dutch quantum technology company Orange Quantum Systems has launched the OrangeQS Max, a full-stack test system that can characterize quantum chips with 100+ qubits and tunable couplers via an automated approach. By making it possible to test new quantum chips with a fraction of the R&D resources that are normally required for such testing, the development of quantum computers will be accelerated, the Delft-based startup claims.
Advancement of quantum computing depends on both improving the quality and quantity of qubits. Being an integral part of this scale-up process, faster testing will speed up the development of commercial quantum technology. OrangeQS’ testing equipment no longer needs to be operated by a quantum physicist, freeing up valuable resources.
OrangeQS has worked with quantum computer manufacturer IQM, which originated in Finland but is operating worldwide, to ensure the OrangeQS Max meets the needs of today’s commercial quantum chip development processes. The product is factory acceptance tested on an IQM quantum chip and will be shipped to IQM.
