Integrated-photonics market to grow sixfold in six years
The integrated-photonics market at large will sextuple by the end of the decade, growing from 300 million dollars in 2023 to 1.8 billion dollars in 2029, according to projections from Yole Group. Silicon photonics will see a 45 percent CAGR over 2023-2029 to reach 863 million dollars by 2029. Indium phosphide (InP) is expected to grow at 22 percent CAGR, while the silicon nitride (SiN) segment is looking at a 43 percent CAGR. Finally, the lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) platform is projected to reach nearly 1 billion dollars by 2029 with a 98 percent CAGR.
