Worldwide semiconductor sales in March increased by 0.3 percent compared to the month before, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reports based on data compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization. It’s the first monthly sales uptick since May last year. Q1 sales were down 8.7 percent sequentially and 21.3 year-on-year.

“Semiconductor sales continued to slip during the first quarter of 2023 due to market cyclicality and macroeconomic headwinds, but month-to-month sales were up in March for the first time in nearly a year, providing optimism for a rebound in the months ahead,” says SIA CEO John Neuffer.
